Community music schools provide local students and families with a number of musical opportunities. In addition to private lessons, many include early childhood programs as a feeder for future formal instruction. In this session, participants will learn how a Music Learning Theory-based program was created at Brookline Music School, an established community music school in Greater Boston. Over a period of five years, its early childhood program (including group piano) has skyrocketed from 50 students to nearly 200 students with this method change.
