If you are ready to dive into teaching Marilyn Lowe’s Music Moves for Piano, then comprehensive courses are for you! These courses are designed to give you all of the information you need to know to teach Music Moves for Piano with confidence.

Registration
Registration will be open from November 15-January 13. The session of live practice/Q&A sessions will begin January 13 and will run through April 14. You will continue to have access to the course after the last meeting.

Content
The Keyboard Games course is divided into ten modules. Each asynchronous module includes lectures, videos of how to lead classes, and video demos with students.

Live Meeting Schedule
One week after a module is released, there will be a live read aloud/Q&A with me and practice session with Sarah Boyd. These live sessions will be recorded for those who cannot attend live.

Cost 
The Keyboard Games course is $247 USD. Access to the course materials and recorded live sessions does not expire. If, for any reason, I have to discontinue the course, you will be given 3 months to complete it.

If you are in need of financial assistence, please complete the scholarship form. The number of scholarships awarded in any session is determined by the number of qualified applicants and available funds.

Returning Keyboard Games teachers
If you would like to join a new session of Keyboard Games for access to the 10 live practice/Q&A sessions, the cost is $47. All proceeds will go directly to the Marilyn Lowe Fund. Please contact me to enroll.

Meet the Instructors

Krista Jadro

Krista Jadro is the owner of Music Learning Academy. In addition to offering online courses, webinars, and resources through MLA, Krista has a thriving piano studio and is a consultant for Brookline Music School’s early childhood and group piano programs. She is also a consultant to the Arts Education and Special Needs Music Classes for Young Children programs at the Berklee Institute in Boston. 

Prior to her current positions, Krista redesigned and directed Brookline Music School’s early childhood and group piano program, taught general music to children and adults with autism, and coordinated University of Delaware's Community Music School early childhood classes.

Krista has completed professional development levels in Music Learning Theory (Level I Early Childhood, Level I Elementary General, and Level I Piano) and is on faculty with the Gordon Institute for Music Learning. She earned degrees in Music Education from University of Delaware (M.M, B.M.).

Krista lives just outside of Boston with her husband, Brian, and their amazing kiddos Luci and Niko.

Sarah Boyd

Sarah Boyd believes that musicians are people who make music, and everyone can learn to participate in music making.  Sarah leads Piano Vine Studio, an audiation-based private and group piano studio for students of all ages, both in-person and online. 

Sarah was introduced to Music Moves for Piano by her piano professor, Dr. Garik Pedersen, at Eastern Michigan University, in 2007. She completed the PDLC through the Gordon Institute of Music Learning,  Early Childhood Level 1, with Dr. Edwin Gordon and Dr. Cynthia Taggart teaching, in 2008. She is extremely grateful to have met Marilyn Lowe beginning in 2010 and was mentored by her, as were so many others. Sarah completed the GIML Piano Level 1 PDLC in 2022. 

In 2010, she founded Hummingbirds Music Together, an early childhood music program for children and the grownups who love them. She is on staff as the Lead Teaching Artist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, writing curriculum, leading teacher workshops, and leading group music experiences for classrooms in and around Detroit.

Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Dducation and is currently completing a Master's degree in Music Education at Eastern Michigan University with Dr. Heather Shouldice. She completed a Graduate Certificate in Injury-Preventive Well-Coordinated Keyboard Technique with Dr. Lister-Sink at Salem College in 2022. 

Sarah and her husband, Ryan, enjoy music making with their  children Julia, JP, Luke, and Wesley.
